Sneaky peek: A/W ’14 collection

The Merino Poncho from Kettlewell Colours Autumn / Winter Collection 2014

It’s that time again! I am so excited to be able to show you a sneak peek of the new Autumn/Winter 2014 Kettlewell collection. Once again, there are some fantastically versatile pieces in this collection, whether you want to pull your entire wardrobe from one brand or mix and match perfect basics in your colours with your existing wardrobe.

The one item that made me actually squeak with excitement (you mean you don’t all do that when looking through catalogues?) is the brand new Merino Poncho. I can see it working with a whole host of outfits, from basic jeans and tshirt to a flippy skirt and heels (on the subject of flippy skirts, the new Audrey skirt is a fabulous cut, closer fitting over the hips and bum before flaring out). The merino is, as always with Kettlewell, brilliant quality, and I think the poncho will be this year’s garment that keeps on giving.

I am also waiting with baited breath to have a play with the brand new cashmere pieces (Kettlewell’s first foray into cashmere). I know that Melissa and John, with their obsession with finding the best quality ethical fabrics, will have found some brilliant quality cashmere that will be well worth the investment. There is a gauzy scarf and a drape/tie front cardigan which both look beautiful, and I love the selection of colours chosen for these investment pieces.

I also spotted the perfect partner to the cashmere Tie Cardigan in the form of a textured dress in one of those totally forgiving fabrics that Kettlewell does so well. Perfect for the party season, this dress and cardigan combo will work time and time again, as well as mixing and matching with other clothes and accessories in your wardrobe.

I could keep going all day (Indeed, I might. The Crossover Tunic! The City Pencil Skirt!) but instead I’ll leave you one or two things to discover yourself when the catalogue pops through your door or the new season alert email pings into your inbox.
